CAVIES magazine Issue No.382 has been posted on our online portal and sent to our subscribers.
This month, Julie Gallagher tells us all about showing longhairs in both pet classes and the clipped longhair section. Julie says:
I think I’m safe in saying that a longhair in full coat, presented to its best, is a thing of beauty. The skill and dedication needed to produce a longhair through to adulthood is considerable, and there are only a few exhibitors who can achieve it. The show career of a longhair is not a long one, most don’t make it into older adult, with the majority being clipped much earlier. Many will then go into the breeding pen, or be sold on to other exhibitors. But they can still have a show career in clipped classes, or as longhaired pets. The versatile longhair.
We also have a tribute to our friend the late Jim McCormick and an article about the new Self Champagne.
